URGENT UPDATE: It has just been agreed and confirmed by Welsh Masters Athletics officials that the forthcoming meeting in Cardiff at the National Indoor Athletics Centre on 12th January will include our 800m and 1500m championships.

 

*Also, please note: Brett Davisa Director of Welsh Masters Athletics Limited, has also confirmed some important updates to some other varied indoor events:

 

* The 3000m championships on the 15th December is still taking entries.

* The 800m and 1500m on the 12th January will be available to enter any day now.

* Sprints will be covered at the meeting on the 26th January.

* We will be considering if we have any options for field events.

* Another update for members is that the vests t-shirts and crop tops, top up order is here today, so will be able to process outstanding orders and take new orders. I will be in touch with people who have outstanding orders  to arrange payment. 

 

Welsh Masters Athletics Ltd director Rod Davies has just confirmed the details and entry requirements for the Welsh Masters Indoor Championships.

Confirmation message from Rod: “If you have been wondering when the Welsh Masters Indoor Championships will take place, please read on...The 3000’s will take place at the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cardiff, on Sunday 15th December. 


Entries are now open and are available here: 

Cardiff Metropolitan University Christmas Classic 2024 (inc Welsh 3000m Championships)

 

Enter as open event: we'll pick you up from the members list. If you prefer a shorter run, the 800, 1500, and probably 400, will be at the same venue on Sunday 12 January, and the sprints (60, 200, and possibly 400) on Sunday 26 January. Entries for the 60 will get two runs: only the first will count as our championship.


*Please note that you will have to renew your membership for the January meetings. Membership renewals will open in two weeks' time.

Why couldn't the rest of the Welsh Masters Indoor Championships been incorporated into the North Wales Indoor T&F Championships?
