IRONMAN WALES - GOG Triathletes success - What can we say ? What an event ! What a day! Plus GOG duo in Gladstone 9 fell race.

The support was just out of this world, not just the public, but all the Welsh Triathlon Club's cheering each other on regardless of which club you belonged to. Certainly will be a day many will never forget.  And of course, we all became an "Ironman". As this was also the Welsh Triathlon Long Course Championship, there were bragging rights to be had too. And our amazing club athletes did not disappoint either with Steve Allport putting in the performance of the day, taking the win in his age group Claire Parsley did a fantastic performance too taking third in her age group With all the celebrations going on, we must say just how gutted we were to hear that Steph Conway suffered a major mechanical whilst out on the bike forcin

Rhian Roxburgh leads the GOG’s to success at Ironman challenge Report by Don Hale The highly talented GOG Triathlon Club  also  had a total of eight squad members competing in the gruelling Ironman 70.3-mile race in Cascais, Portugal, last weekend, including  Elizabeth Driscoll, who has dual membership with NWRRC, but Rhian Roxburgh was surely the pick of the team after claiming a podium place with a 2nd place finish in her respective age group.
