Kinmel Bay (3) Vs CPD Cerrigydrudion (2) at Y Morfa leisure centre 20/04/24. Match report 20 April 2024, by team manager Alex Craig, and photos by Barry Griffiths. Today was Kinmel Bay’s final league game of the season in what can only be described as a mixed bag season winning 12 drawing 4 and losing 8.  Kinmel Bay’s management team of Leon Field Andy Thomas and Alex Craig set out their goals at the start of the season and have fell just short of what was predicted; however, a cup final win next week will leave the club in a great position going into next season.  Today's game was always going to be hard for the Bay starting with a minutes silence for our GK Ash Lavender Uncle, we were also missing a number of regular players out due to different reasons.  We started with a mix of first team players and Reserve players, but don't take anything away from the lads who stepped up they did not disappoint one bit today. We went into the game with just 13 players available.   We got

Report by Don Hale.   A very special and rather spooky Halloween Dark Run will be held next month at Conwy to help raise both funds and awareness of Ty Gobaith, Hope House, Children’s Hospices. The event will involve the options of a 5k run, jog, or walk, on the regular Conwy parkrun course starting and finishing at the RSPB site near Llandudno Junction on Saturday 22 October (6.30pm to 9.30pm ), and follows a course along the Cob towards a floodlit Conwy Castle, and then proceeds along the cycle path towards Deganwy before returning to the RSPB centre. A Ty Gobaith spokesperson explained: “It’s time to glow crazy and take in the delights of the first-ever Conwy Dark Run. You can join in with friends, take your family or do it solo - the choice is yours! “We can’t wait to see everyone waving their glow sticks in support of seriously ill local children. The run will feature a warm-up and the Dark 5k event will take plac

Josh Mottram plans to beat the train in charity appeal. Report by Don Hale.   Josh Mottram , a young runner from Llandudno Junction, is hoping to raise more than £1,000 to help fundraise for Conwy Connect for Learning Disabilities by trying to beat the train this week during a 5k dash to Caernarfon on Wednesday (20th July). Josh explained: “Conwy Connect is a great charity that organizes lots of activities that me and my friends can do together, like disco’s, youth clubs, surfing etc, and they give me work opportunities, and help to prepare me for my future. “I started running with Ian my swimming teacher at Conwy parkrun a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I ran behind him all the way and then outsprinted him to get my PB of 22.10.  “We thought it would be fun to race the train at Caernarfon this year, and raise some money at the same time, and Ian thinks he can beat me - but we’ll see!” *You can follow Josh’s progress and help with his fundraising plan via this link: https://gofu
