The friendly fitness enthusiasts contacted the event organisers a couple of days before and received generous support and praise on the day from the two-hundred-plus entrants, with Antony, from the Newquay and Par Athletics Club , even running the course, and recording an excellent time of just 24 minutes and 5 seconds to finish in 54th place overall.
