Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk North Wales Road Runner Charlotte Rose Wilton Jones completed a very tough 25k mountain race in Snowdonia last Saturday to help raise hundreds of pounds for ‘Beat,’ which is a UK eating disorder charity. The experienced mountain and fell running athlete bravely completed her fundraising run in style with a remarkable gun time of just 3 hours 24 minutes and 53 seconds. She was the 9th female finisher, in 58th place overall, and 6th in her respective FSen age category. Her incredible challenge was part of the 2024 Ogwen25 Yr Helgi Du 10k and 25k races, and Charlotte took on the top challenge in the latter 25k event and appealed for funding towards this deserving cause via her JustGiving page, setting an initial a target of £400.
