Perfect night to ‘Race the Highland Train’ back from Dinas to Caernarfon for 300 runners.

Some photos courtesy of Kelly Alford.   https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   It proved to be another exciting dash from start to finish as nearly three-hundred mixed ability runners attempted to Race the Highland train from Dinas station to Caernarfon last Wednesday night. On a warm and almost perfect evening  Tomos Roberts  (Meirionnydd RC) was the first athlete home in a fast time of just 14 minutes and 51 seconds over this interesting 5k course, with  Ifan Dafydd  (Eryri Harriers) 2nd in 14.55, and  John Higgs  3rd in 15.02. In addition,  Simon Cole (GOG Triathlon) finished in 5th place in 15.15. The 1st female runner was  Rachel

Connor Rogers records new PB and winning debut for North Wales at Stafford 10k...plus other NWRRC results

Connor Rogers from Wrexham AC (*above) recorded a new PB and a winning debut for North Wales at Stafford 10k. North Wales Regional team claim 2nd place overall... Report by Don Hale . Photos Paul Brooks and  Steve  Jeffery. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk The North Wales Regional athletics team competed at the Stone 10k in Staffordshire on Sunday and finished 2nd overall, with Connor Rogers winning the race on his debut with a great new PB of 32 minutes and 19 seconds. Team manager  Paul Brooks  praised all competing members for their excellent performances in this inter-county match, and confirmed: “Congratulations to  Connor Rogers  ( Wrexham  AC),  on his winning debut for North Wales and a PB, and thanks to  Darren Blazier  for ensuring that we would have a scoring team.  “And it was good to see  Elliot Cox  back in the team after several years. Unfortunately, with two ladies withdrawing on the day before the race, it left no time to find replacemen
