New field volunteers wanted for Welsh Masters Athletics events – with Tempo time credits offered as a reward! Report by Don Hale.   https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   Welsh Masters Athletics are looking for some new field volunteers to help-out at some future WMAL championship events.  Chris Pruski from WMAL  says he is looking for at least ten new recruits to assist him at various events and confirmed that he is now able to offer some special incentives, such as special Tempo time credits!  He explained: “I set up Tempo time credits to recruit volunteers for WMAL champs, however with so many cancellations this season, I was unable to recruit any.  “I would like to recruit at least ten for indoor events, and then for next season. WMAL will need admin, as well as field volunteers. “The v olunteers can sign up  (*via the link below ), attend our events, and then obtain credits to the available offers including days out, shopping, or whatever else is on off

Great day for North Wales Runners at Monmouth Inter-Regional cross-country races

After the first two 'school' races in which North Wales athletes performed very well, the Women's senior and masters’ race was first up. Carla Green starred for Wales in Home Nations 10k race at Tenby and finished 2nd in her age category. Report by Don Hale.   Road Runner Carla Green starred for Wales in an international 10k race last weekend and finished 2nd in her respective age category during a controversial Home-Nations tournament at Tenby Carla turned in a spectacular performance and put her recent injury woes behind her to claim 2nd place in her FV50 age category, whilst club colleague  Richard Eccles  unfortunately   faced disqualification along with others following a mix-up over an alleged misdirection claim towards the finish of his 5k race, with much criticism later aimed at the event organisers. Carla Green  ran home in 53rd place overall and she was the 13th female in the 10k race in 41 minutes 42 seconds amongst 388 entrants, whilst her husband  Martin Gree

CARLA LED THE WAY DURING INTERNATIONAL RELAY CHALLENGE

North Wales Road Runner Carla Green led the way for her Welsh club during an exciting International virtual relay challenge last weekend with the prestigious Spanish outfit,  Fondistes Penedes Running Club (FPRC), from Vilafranca, near Barcelona. Carla was part of a mixed team of athletes, who each flew the flag for Wales during a unique and combined event that included competition both with, and against, their Spanish counterparts. She played a starring individual role as a worthy member of the winning team, and was also the 1 st  Welsh runner to finish, in addition to being the 1 st  F45 cat winner, and the 3 rd  fastest female overall.  And to top all that, Carla also recorded the 2 nd   best female age performance percentage.
