Report by Don Hale. donhaleblog.blogspot.com/2025   Two Welsh Master field veterans in Robin (Bob) Frost and Paul Brooks from Wrexham AAC are celebrating after collecting a host of awards, medals, and records in their respective recent championship throwing and/or jumping events. Paul Brooks explained: "Bob Frost,  having turned 80 earlier this year is still very busy setting new club records and collecting an impressive number of medals. He won three golds and a silver competing in the Derbyshire County championships, setting age-group records.  "And at the Northern Masters championships in Stretford, he won four golds and two silvers, whilst last weekend at the BMAF championships in Derby, he won both the high jump and long jump, with a bronze in the javelin." *Paul Brooks (*above left), with his club...

Amanda has been a member of Wrexham since she was 13 and has served the club with distinction as an athlete and coach. A versatile athlete who won the Welsh U15 Pentathlon; U17 & U20 Heptathlon; and Welsh Senior Heptathlon in 1990 Amanda has continued to serve her club well.  She has represented Wales and Great Britain and has medalled at Welsh, British, European and World Masters Championships across a variety of events. Throwing champion Paul Brooks celebrated a productive day at the Telford Games last weekend...and reviews the Caernarfon half-marathon Regional championships. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk Welsh Masters veteran athlete Paul Brooks, who represents Wrexham AAC, said he was very happy with a productive day at the Telford Games last Saturday, where he set three new MV75 Wrexham club records. The evergreen throwing champion competed in several T&F events and his times included: hammer, 15.12m; shot putt, 7.19m, and discus 23.94m. Paul additionally said well done to colleagues Will and Sally, and says he has his fingers crossed for another similar T&F event this weekend in Sheffield.
