Staged at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton, he took part in a mixed race and was delighted with his outstanding overall win in an excellent time of just 7 minutes 31.62 seconds, but his result won’t count however as a record, as the runners had to miss out on the water jump due to an unfortunate leak, leaving the tray pit only half full. Welsh Master and Newport Harrier sprinter Juliet Sidney (*above) struck gold twice and set new WM record in 100m race.  Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   Well done to Welsh Master and Newport Harrier sprinter Juliet Sidney for her tremendous performances at the Midlands Masters Track & Field championships last month at Nuneaton, and for setting a new Welsh Masters club record in the 100m race. Juliet, who is also the website manager for Welsh Masters Athletics Ltd (WMAL), won two gold medals in the W55 100m and 200m races, and her time of 13.86 seconds in the 100m event set a new PB and a remarkable record. After the event Juliet confirmed:  “ A great day at the Midland Masters Championships. Thanks to all the officials and organisers. Wonderful to see so many masters friends. Introduction by Don Hale.  https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk Brett Davis, a director of Welsh Masters Athletics Ltd, has just announced a REVISED timetable for the England Masters Athletics, Inter-Area T&F Challenge at Nuneaton on Sunday 6th August 2023. He confirmed this week: "Please see the attached, which is the REVISED Inter-Area timetable. I have not analysed it yet, but I can see that the 400m has been added for M70 and W70.  "And in relation to the men’s team, the squad will be announced very soon and then once availabilities are confirmed, the team selection and reserves will be announced.  "I am sure the women’s team will be in a much more advanced state and that Eleri will probably just have to deal with any changes due to the timetable changes."
