Kinmel Bay (3) Vs CPD Cerrigydrudion (2) at Y Morfa leisure centre 20/04/24. Match report 20 April 2024, by team manager Alex Craig, and photos by Barry Griffiths. Today was Kinmel Bay’s final league game of the season in what can only be described as a mixed bag season winning 12 drawing 4 and losing 8.  Kinmel Bay’s management team of Leon Field Andy Thomas and Alex Craig set out their goals at the start of the season and have fell just short of what was predicted; however, a cup final win next week will leave the club in a great position going into next season.  Today's game was always going to be hard for the Bay starting with a minutes silence for our GK Ash Lavender Uncle, we were also missing a number of regular players out due to different reasons.  We started with a mix of first team players and Reserve players, but don't take anything away from the lads who stepped up they did not disappoint one bit today. We went into the game with just 13 players available.   We got

Bute Energy U16’s Cup 23/24 Final @ Newtown 14 April 2024.  KBFC U15 Girls (0) v Cardiff Wanderers FC U16 Girls (4).  Report and photos by Barry Griffiths, the media officer for Kimmel Bay FC. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com Facebook photos include pre-match warm up and post match awards. Great day yesterday (Sunday), two coaches travelled to the final. Our young ladies did us proud, put heart and soul into the competition, and played with maturity, skill and experience as displayed throughout the competition.  This must be so unusual; a small community reaching the final against a team selected from such a large population.   How can I say it without appearing unduly biased but for KBFC every junior player gets to play, its a platinum standard club; operating out of Y Morfa the only sports centre in North Wales managed and funded through voluntary efforts. A memorable day where our team displayed great Character and Courage; an example to all. Brilliant coaching, great support, well

Welcome result for Kinmel  Bay FC against Llandyrnog Football copy and photos forwarded courtesy  of KBFC media  officer Barry Griffiths. Enjoyable match as well as satisfying result. KBFC warm up in the Conwy Mind shirts just to remind us of the continuous importance of mental health across communities. Thanks to the team manager Alex Craig for the match report.   KBFC (2) v Llandyrnog (0) @ Y Morfa 30 March 2024.   The game was a chance to put right the dreadful result in which we lost 2-0 against Llandyrnog a few weeks back.   We pressed Llandyrnog straight from the off having a lot of the ball we worked it well through the lines in which a lovely ball was put through from Nyal Hughes who found Tate Walker on the edge of the box Unfortunately the shot went wide.   Chances are now being created by Llandyrnog to have a couple of shots of their own which didn’t really trouble our Debutant goalkeeper Charlie Jones.   In the 26th minute a lovely laid off through ball from Connor Morris t

Non-stop action in six-goal thriller for Kinmel Bay. Kinmel bay FC (3) v Abergele FC (3)  23 March 2024 played in St Asaph.   Special match report and photos courtesy of Barry Griffiths – media officer Kinmel Bay FC. Cold and windy but a sunny day saw wall to wall action from these local teams in the Worth Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division. Kinmel Bay warmed up in the Conwy Mind shirts to raise more awareness that mental health needs to be taken seriously by all of us. No score and 24 minutes in the Bay’s  Leon Bower  received a red card putting them a man down for the rest of the match. Despite this loss the team pulled round to hold Abergele to a 3 all draw, a commendable performance and example of determination in teamwork.  For the match there was no score until the end of the first half when Abergele’s  Dominic Holland  assisted by  Ryan Jones  drove home his first of two goals. The Bay equalised 12 minutes later when  Liam Jones  assisted by  Paddy Hamid scored, t

Fast competitive game and deserved draw for Kinmel Bay against the League leaders. Report and photos by Barry Griffiths (KBFC media officer). https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com Kinmel Bay FC (1) v Penmaenmawr Phoenix FC (1) at Y Morfa 16 March 2024. KBFC warmed up in Conwy Mind shirts reminding all the importance on mental health and sharing awareness. Pen was welcomed to Y Morfa with a team photo in cold but mainly dry and soft ground conditions well supported with food available. With Pen heading the table and KBFC at 7 this was a fast competitive game. A close call corner against the Bay in the first half left the teams equal at no score for the second half. Liam Griffiths assisted by Lee Stokes scored the goal for Pen in the 58th minute a lead quickly leveled by Paddy Hamid 4 minutes later.  Injured Olly Gray was replaced by Christopher Evans 5 minutes after the Bay goal and despite Pen’s Paddy Hold getting a blue card in the 83rd minute the score from this well matched fixture was h

Kinmel Bay’s surprise home defeat to Glan Conwy finally ends nine match unbeaten run... Special midweek match report and photos by Barry Griffiths.   Kinmel Bay FC (2) v Glan Conwy (3) at Cae Ffwt Stadium; 10th May 23.    Well, what a match, the Bay well beaten by a team at the bottom of the table and a team Kinmel Bay defeated 10 to 0 just a month ago; but recent history defines a closer competition with the teams a 1-1 draw in March 2022 and 2-5 win to Glan Conwy in Sept 2021, so each to our own analysis of that. The impact of this game in terms of table place is that Glan Conwy remain at 16th while Bay slips a position to 6th adding to pressure on the last match of the season against Prestatyn Sport on Saturday afternoon KO 2.30 at Y Morfa. Just goes to show the overall high standard of team fitness and skill in the division with just 7 points separating the mid 7 teams. Each club at Cae Ffwt had 5 subs on the bench but some of Bay’s frequent players were not present.   There were a

Ninth win on the trot for Kinmel Bay FC. Report and photos by Barry Griffiths. Kinmel Bay FC (3) v Mochdre Sports FC (0) @ Y Morfa 6 May 2023. This result the 9th consecutive win for KBFC sees the team move to 5th in this league table and is a sound endorsement for the strategy and commitment being followed by players, coaches, and management. With no goal scoring, just fast and tough competition for possession through the first half, it was not until the 55th minute that Tate Walker assisted by Connor Morris nudged the ball past the fallen Mochdre keeper Nicholas Bould.  Twenty minutes later Bay’s Olly Gray quickly tackled the ball round Mochdre players for Connor Morris to strike the Bays second goal. The Bays third came close the final whistle when Connor Morris assisted by Anthony Jones passed the ball past an again fallen Mochdre keeper. Bay players gave everything in the match and with strong subs on the bench mangers Leon Field and Andy Thomas took the opportunity to bring these
