An important win for Kinmel Bay in seven-goal thriller. Kinmel Bay FC (4) v Llandudno Junction FC (3) at Y Morfa 30th Nov 2024. Report and photos by Barrie Griffiths. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   An important win for KBFC in this very closely fought league match placing KBFC 7th and Junction 5th with the postponed Mochdre (2nd in league) game to be played.  Looking back to previous Junction matches in Jan the Bay win was 5-3; in March Bay lost 3-2, in April Bay won1-0 so these are closely fought and intense matches well played by good teams and this being no exception with 7 goals netted in total. The photos are in match sequence and most goals are included. Some injury time added time to the match; Connor Morris opened the score for KBFC with the first of his 3 goals when assisted by Sean Sheridan in the 29th minute for Junction to soon equalise then take the lead when Jack Nettleton assisted by Tomos Rhys-Williams scored on the 33rd mi...

And some great action photos by Barry Griffiths.   Kinmel Bay welcomed Brickfield Rangers to Y Morfa on Saturday the 21st both teams have made a fantastic start to the season both being unbeaten with one draw each.  Bay where quick out of the blocks pressing Brickfield all over the pitch not allowing them any time to settle. Danni McIlvogue pinching the ball from Brickfield CM and playing a perfect pass out to the right for the on-rushing Connor Morris who beat his man and unleashed a thunder shot at goal.  Connor doesn't miss them from there, 1-0 Bay and 7 minutes on the clock. Brickfield where in shock and they couldn't settle with the Bay pressing th...

Narrow victory for Kinmel Bay FC against Cerrigydrudion.

Kinmel Bay (3) Vs CPD Cerrigydrudion (2) at Y Morfa leisure centre 20/04/24. Match report 20 April 2024, by team manager Alex Craig, and photos by Barry Griffiths. Today was Kinmel Bay’s final league game of the season in what can only be described as a mixed bag season winning 12 drawing 4 and losing 8.  Kinmel Bay’s management team of Leon Field Andy Thomas and Alex Craig set out their goals at the start of the season and have fell just short of what was predicted; however, a cup final win next week will leave the club in a great position going into next season.  Today's game was always going to be hard for the Bay starting with a minutes silence for our GK Ash Lavender Uncle, we were also missing a number of regular players out due to different reasons.  We started with a mix of first team players and Reserve players, but don't take anything away from the lads who stepped up they did not disappoint one bit today. We went into the game with just 13 players available. ...

Kinmel Bay club proud of U15 Girls in Cup Final against Cardiff Wanderers at Newtown.

Bute Energy U16’s Cup 23/24 Final @ Newtown 14 April 2024.  KBFC U15 Girls (0) v Cardiff Wanderers FC U16 Girls (4).  Report and photos by Barry Griffiths, the media officer for Kimmel Bay FC. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com Facebook photos include pre-match warm up and post match awards. Great day yesterday (Sunday), two coaches travelled to the final. Our young ladies did us proud, put heart and soul into the competition, and played with maturity, skill and experience as displayed throughout the competition.  This must be so unusual; a small community reaching the final against a team selected from such a large population.   How can I say it without appearing unduly biased but for KBFC every junior player gets to play, its a platinum standard club; operating out of Y Morfa the only sports centre in North Wales managed and funded through voluntary efforts. A memorable day where our team displayed great Character and Courage; an example to all. Brilliant coaching, g...

Welcome result for Kinmel  Bay FC against Llandyrnog Football copy and photos forwarded courtesy  of KBFC media  officer Barry Griffiths. Enjoyable match as well as satisfying result. KBFC warm up in the Conwy Mind shirts just to remind us of the continuous importance of mental health across communities. Thanks to the team manager Alex Craig for the match report.   KBFC (2) v Llandyrnog (0) @ Y Morfa 30 March 2024.   The game was a chance to put right the dreadful result in which we lost 2-0 against Llandyrnog a few weeks back.   We pressed Llandyrnog straight from the off having a lot of the ball we worked it well through the lines in which a lovely ball was put through from Nyal Hughes who found Tate Walker on the edge of the box Unfortunately the shot went wide.   Chances are now being created by Llandyrnog to have a couple of shots of their own which didn’t really trouble our Debutant goalkeeper Charlie Jones.   In the 26th minute a lovely lai...
