NW Road Running duo performed well for Wales at the British & Irish International Cross Country championships in Belfast.

Will performed well in his MV50 age cat on a rather hilly and challenging course despite only just recovering from injury and seemed satisfied after finishing 29th overall in thirty-three minutes and one-second. Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   The British Masters Athletics Cross-Country championships was held last Saturday at Rhug Farm, near Corwen, and included some exceptional performances by many North Wales runners. The event attracted 97 top club and elite athletes in the Veteran Men’s up to M60 age cat event, and a further 94 runners in the combined Women’s and Male Masters aged 65-plus race.  The championships were well organised by officials and members of Prestatyn RC, and this was the fourth time the club had been asked by Welsh Athletics to host the event. Entries are now open for the North Wales Cross Country Championships which will be held at Ysgol Morgan Llwyd, Wrexham, on Saturday 7th January 2023. The timetable of races is as follows :   11am - Under 11 Girls; 11-20am - Under 13 Girls/Under 11 Boys;   11-45am - Under 15 Girls/Under 13 Boys;12-15pm - Under 17 Women/Under 15 Boys;   1-00pm Under 20/Senior/Master Women/Under 17 Men/65+Men   2-00pm - Senior/Master Men. *For the first time, entries are on-line and are available via the following link:   https://www.entrycentral.com/North_Wales_CC_Champs   North Wales Indoor Championships at Deeside.
