TEMPO TIME CREDITS APPEAL - Message from Chris Pruski  at Welsh Masters Athletics (WMAL), about Tempo Time...report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk Chris Pruski from Welsh Masters Athletics is requesting that all athletes and volunteers who are planning to take part in Welsh Masters Championship events should sign up with Tempo Time. He explained: “I’ve been working on this for a while and hope that we can get lots of people signed up so we can get the scheme underway. This will help all members, athletes, supporters, and WMAL, to be able to continue providing essential sporting championship events as we begin to build an essential support network. “I will be sending a letter to contacts I have at various clubs, but the more people we can contact, the better are the chances that we can get this going, and they don’t need to be WMAL members. “There is also an Event Academy Initiative and I have a meeting with them next week – on Thursday...

Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   Two Road Runners took to the hills, or rather to the mountain last Friday night, to take part in the gruelling Scott Sports Snowdon Twilight fell race. This was an extremely tough, challenging, but well-organised uphill race that started from the road opposite the Royal Victoria Hotel, and followed the Llanberis Path to the Summit of Snowdon. Charlotte Rose Wilton Jones  and  Phil Moss  competed well with Charlotte in 50th place overall out of 68 eventual finishers, and she was the 17th female athlete and 6th in her FOpen age category with a good time of 1hr 12 mins and 43 secs. Phil gave chase to Charlotte all the way and he was 52nd overall, and 4th in his VM60 age cat in 1hr 13mins 9 secs. *The race winner was  George Foster  (Matl...

  Urgent appeal for volunteers to help out at this Saturday’s Welsh Masters Athletics T&F championships at Yate. Report by Don Hale.  https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   Brett Davis, a director of Welsh Masters, is urgently appealing to WMAL members for any volunteers – qualified or not - to help out at this weekend’s Welsh Masters Athletics championships at Yate. As previously reported, the championships were moved from Aberdare, and will now be included within the Avon/Yate open T&F events at Yate this  Saturday 12th August , and with over 70 Welsh Masters athletes competing, the event organisers have asked WMAL officials if some willing volunteers can make themselves available to help out with various tasks at this important meeting.
