Juliet, who is perhaps better known as the ‘Pocket Rocket,’ competed in the 60m, the 200m and relay events. Although she was a little disappointed with her efforts in the earlier heats for the 60m race, Juliet deservedly made it to her first ever 200m indoor W55 final, and later ran as part of the bronze medal winning relay team. She later confirmed: “It was a  week of ups and downs. Welsh Masters Notice of AGM This email is being sent to all confirmed members of Welsh Masters Athletics Limited who are on the Register of Members as at today’s date to provide the formal notice of Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on 3 November 2023 at 7:30 pm. As the sport is still struggling to recover from Covid, the Board has decided that no awards will be made for 2022 so the opportunities for a celebration should be postponed till next year when the 2023 results will be available.   For that reason we will hold the formal AGM by Zoom, and those wishing to attend need to register in advance by emailing me before 31 October 2023 to get the system set up.  I attach -                     Notice of Meeting, Proxy Form.                Accounts to 31 December 2022. Report by Don Hale.  https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   It was a double delight for the Welsh Masters Athletics website manager Juliet Sidney at last weekend’s British Masters Track & Field Championships at Derby, where the veteran ‘Pocket Rocket’ collected two prestigious gold medals for winning both of her 100 and 200m races. The talented W55 age category winner, who currently holds the No 1 spot nationally for both race distances, was thrilled by her success on the track at the impressive but windswept Moorways Sports Complex, and now hopes to maintain her top form in readiness for the forthcoming European Championships later this month.  After the 100m race (13.96), Juliet said: “I was pleased with the win in the BM Championships W55, 100m.
