Report by Don Hale.   https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   This past weekend proved to be one of the busiest of the season for local runners with four major events taking place at Chester and in Bangor, including a fierce marathon rivalry between English and Welsh athletes, plus several parkruns, in Conwy and elsewhere. A gruelling schedule staged in unusually warm weather, included seventeen top North Wales Runners involved in the Bangor 10k, Bangor half-marathon, the Chester Metric Marathon, and the full distance, Chester Marathon. NWRRC  had two members selected to represent Wales last Sunday during the International match v England, within the  Chester Marathon , and both  Martin Green  and  Cheryl Frost , competed well, and proudly wore their prestigious and famous red vest. Notice of Annual General Meeting on Saturday 25 November 2023 at 11.00am by Zoom. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the British Masters Athletic Federation will take place on Saturday 25 November 2023.    The meeting will be held on “Zoom” and joining details will be circulated later. The Agenda for the meeting will be circulated at a later date.  Any items for the Agenda should be submitted to the Hon Secretary as soon as possible, and on or before 25 October 2023. *Just to clarify, the November meeting is the British Masters Athletics AGM, the October meeting is the BMAF services AGM.    Please Note:   BMAF Constitution All members of Constituent Associations and Clubs may attend the AGM and vote.  A two thirds majority is required for amendments to the constitution, other motions a simple majority. Introduction by Don Hale.  https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk Brett Davis, a director of Welsh Masters Athletics Ltd, has just announced a REVISED timetable for the England Masters Athletics, Inter-Area T&F Challenge at Nuneaton on Sunday 6th August 2023. He confirmed this week: "Please see the attached, which is the REVISED Inter-Area timetable. I have not analysed it yet, but I can see that the 400m has been added for M70 and W70.  "And in relation to the men’s team, the squad will be announced very soon and then once availabilities are confirmed, the team selection and reserves will be announced.  "I am sure the women’s team will be in a much more advanced state and that Eleri will probably just have to deal with any changes due to the timetable changes."
