Kinmel Bay FC defeated Llandudno Junction to reach Cup Final.

The 0.0 score had little impact on KBFC table position of 2nd since leaders Y Glannau drew against the Junction. PICTURE SPECIAL by Don Hale https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   It was a perfect  morning at Conwy parkrun last Saturday morning with warm, bright sunshine, for over four-hundred athletes, walkers, and volunteers as they commemorated their 400th event. Blessed with unusually good weather, very little wind, and with an atmospheric touch of mist in the distance surrounding the iconic Conwy Castle, people from all parts of the country boosted the number of local entrants to this regular run, with everyone determined to enjoy and celebrate this special occasion. More blue runners wanted for this Saturday at Conwy parkrun for International Nurses Day and the NHS. Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   Following my previous blog report (*6/5/24), and my request for runners to wear something blue at Conwy parkrun on Saturday 18th May, to commemorate their 400th parkrun, we also have an excellent opportunity to show our support this week for the NHS and International Nursesā€™ Day, on Saturday 12th May at Conwy, with a similar request for runners to also wear something blue. Blue runners wanted for 400th Conwy parkrun on 18th May! NWRRC official and Conwy parkrun volunteer and regular MC John Hatton says he is trying to attract 400 runners for the 400th Conwy parkrun on Saturday 18th May. Entry parkrun is free for all parkruns, and it starts from the RSPB site near Conwy each Saturday starting at 9am.  He confirmed: ā€œItā€™s Mental Health Awareness Week that week, so I have spoken to  Mind Conwy . Their colour is blue, so I am trying to encourage people to run in blue, or to even wear some fancy dress costumes.ā€ *John Hatton  is pictured (*above) at Conwy parkrun.

Non-stop action in six-goal thriller for Kinmel Bay. Cold and windy but a sunny day saw wall to wall action from these local teams in the Worth Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division. Kinmel Bay warmed up in the Conwy Mind shirts to raise more awareness that mental health needs to be taken seriously by all of us. No score and 24 minutes in the Bayā€™s  Leon Bower  received a red card putting them a man down for the rest of the match. Despite this loss the team pulled round to hold Abergele to a 3 all draw, a commendable performance and example of determination in teamwork.  For the match there was no score until the end of the first half when Abergeleā€™s  Dominic Holland  assisted by  Ryan Jones  drove home his first of two goals. Nearly Ā£7k raised for Conwy Mind following special Seal Splash Sea Dip event... Report by Don Hale. Photos by Gareth Southworth. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   There was a massive turn-out for a special cold water ā€˜Seal Splashā€™ Sea Dip from Colwyn Bay promenade, last Sunday afternoon, which helped to raise nearly Ā£7k for Conwy Mind. Despite the cool and blustery conditions, dozens of brave entrants supported this unusual fundraising event, with many people wearing colourful fancy dress outfits, or bright swimming costumes, before entering the chilly waters. John Hatton , one of the hard-working charity promoters, confirmed:  ā€œWe had a great event at Colwyn Bay yesterday, the Seal Splash, a Sea Dip organised by Conwy Mind to raise funds. I was asked to help with the event, and it was a tremendous success with the intention of raising a few thousand pounds. ā€œWe eventually made Ā£6,900.
