Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the British Masters Athletic Federation will take place on Saturday 22nd November 2025.  


The meeting will be held on “Zoom” and joining details will be circulated later.

The Agenda for the meeting will be circulated at a later date. Any items for the Agenda should be submitted to the Hon. Secretary as soon as possible.

 

The BMAF Executive intend to include a motion on the agenda to allow BMAF to be wound up and its activities and objectives be transferred to a new company BMAF Holdings Ltd.

 

 

You support is requested for the meeting.


We need new blood among our elected officers and volunteers to allow the Federation to continue to provide Championships and competition. If you can help us let me know.

All members of Constituent Associations and Clubs may attend the AGM and vote.

A two thirds majority is required for amendments to the constitution, for other motions a simple majority.


The notice of the AGM must be given at least 60 days prior to the meeting.

Nominations of Officers, Business and Proposals may be submitted by the Council, the Executive or the committee of any constituent association or club to the Honorary Secretary at least 30 days before the meeting.


The meeting Agenda will be circulated at least 21 days before the meeting.

One thing other regions flag up is milestones on overall attendances since the parkrun started. In North Wales our highest overall attendance is Conwy parkrun with 111,614 finishers, it was such a shame that this site was not going for the 100,000th finisher, as that would have been great to capture that, and who was it that crossed the line, I will work it out and contact the Conwy parkrun team. It was another jam-packed and fun-filled occasion on Saturday morning at the new Llandrillo yn Rhos (Y Promenade) parkrun last Saturday following a record-breaking attendance on Christmas Day. Despite the freezing temperatures and a generous covering of heavy frost around the region, with the icy conditions causing the cancellation of rival events at  Conwy  and at  Nova , the Rhos parkrun, possibly aided by a light layer of sand at key points, was given the green light, much to the delight of 576 eager entrants. Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   Twenty-four members of NWRRC took part in the annual Christmas club handicap race, which this year was staged from the Rhos on Sea clock tower to the renovated far end of the promenade and back over a 4.5-mile course. Well organised with times recorded and verified by  Carla Green  and  Elizabeth Driscoll , with support from other members, the handicap rules this time included each runner having to hand in their watches and mobile phones, and the need to predict their finishing times, so that no one knew their exact pace, or whether their estimated times were likely to be accurate, until they actually reached the finish line.
