Peter Kennedy from the BMAF has just confirmed the following details regarding the indoor meeting at Sheffield on 26/1/25.


Dear Masters Athletes,

 

The priority we gave to those who previously expressed interest in the event has now ended. There has been a good response with 200 entries to date, but there are still slots available in the open events:



60m, 200m, 800m, 2000m Race Walk, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot, High Jump, and 4 x 200m relays.

There is no limit on championship entries for Pentathlon and 3000m.

 


We need a large turnout to make it financially viable and we need to prove this is possible this year in order to assure its future. 

The facilities there are superb and there is nothing comparable within 160 miles. If all goes well, then we can be sure as we can be to continue with it each year therefter.

There will be some minor alterations to the way we start our event until all current building work at the site has been cleared away. The RSPB car park will be open and available to park runners from 08:15 am and will be closed no later than 08:40 am. After this time runners will need to utilise alternative parking at Tesco and Conwy Business Park. This is a new chapter for Conwy parkrun and I hope it will be treated as such. Porth Eirias Runners successful take-over at the Llandrillo Yn Rhos parkrun... Introduction by Don Hale. donhaleblog.blog.com/2026 coastandcountry.blog   It proved to be a spectacular take-over at the Llandrillo yn Rhos parkrun on Saturday by Porth Eirias Runners (PER), with this rapidly expanding local club providing a host of supportive members to help volunteer and marshal at this popular weekly event. It was another jam-packed and fun-filled occasion on Saturday morning at the new Llandrillo yn Rhos (Y Promenade) parkrun last Saturday following a record-breaking attendance on Christmas Day.
