Race organiser John Hatton (*pictured right), who promotes the popular DARK RUNS at Conwy, and at Penrhyn Castle - which have raised many thousands of pounds for local children’s cancer charities - has just confirmed that Supertemps have made Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice their ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2026.

He explained that keen runner with GOG Triathlon and well-known local businesswoman Sarah Elwood, the managing director at Supertemps, who has sponsored these events for the past two years, has now agreed to provide further financial support once more.

John also outlined his latest fundraising plans stating: “This year we are making Penrhyn a very big event and we are hoping to attract between 500-600 participants, as Conwy will not take place this year because they have so many other activities around that same time.”

Sarah confirmed her charitable proposals online this week, and despite a recent injury that has temporarily curtailed her own sporting ambitions, she said: “Although I am now injured, so I cannot run, we have made Tŷ Gobaith our charity of the Year at Supertemps, so donations will now be accepted; and we will be hosting events for them. We have sponsored the Dark Runs for the past two-years and we will do it again this year.”

At Supertemps, supporting our community is important to us. That’s why we are incredibly proud to announce that Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice has been adopted as our Charity of the Year.

Tŷ Gobaith provides specialist palliative care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families across North Wales. Their work offers comfort, dignity, and compassion at the most challenging times, making a profound difference to the lives of those they support.

This year, our annual Employment LawUpdate Webinar remains free to attend, but we are delighted to be hosting it in support of Tŷ Gobaith. The webinar gives HR professionals and business owners the opportunity to stay ahead of the latest employment law changes while also helping to raise funds for an exceptional local charity.

Supertemps Managing Director Sarah Ellwood was thrilled to gain a London Marathon place for Tŷ Gobaith this year, but after experiencing considerable pain during training, a scan has revealed a torn meniscus and so her marathon hopes for London 2026 are over. Instead, Supertemps has proudly adopted Tŷ Gobaith as our Charity of the Year and will be fundraising throughout the year to help support the vital work they do.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference to the children and families cared for by Tŷ Gobaith. All donations will be most gratefully received and can be made via our https://www.justgiving.com/page/sarah-supertemps

We would love it if you would join us in supporting Tŷ Gobaith throughout 2026 and help them continue their incredible work.
