NORTH WALES CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE - SHREWSBURY

This is the latest update from Bernie Jones, the secretary of the NW XC League.
The next North Wales Cross Country League will take place at a superb new course near Baschurch, Shrewsbury on Saturday 25th November 2023
*The venue and postcode is:
PGL Boreatton Park
Baschurch
Shrewsbury
SY4 2EZ
Shrewsbury AC have developed some challenging routes in the fantastic surroundings of Boreatton Park. Please access the Park via the main gates.
As usual first race, Under 15 Boys at 10-30am, followed by U15 Girls/U13 Boys; U13 Girls/U11 Boys and U11 Girls. The Women's Race (including M65+ and U17 Men will start at 1pm and the Men at 2pm.
Please follow any instructions of where to park by the marshalls.

Clutch of prestigious silver medals for Road Running trio at the Inter-Counties cross country champs at Newtown.

The trio all performed well and enjoyed their runs on a very muddy but relatively flat course, and between them they collected several championships medals with  Cheryl Frost and Kay Hatton  winning team silver medals in the W55 event; and  Karen Butler  winning a team silver in the W65 event, plus an individual silver medal in her race. Well done to one of Welsh Master Athletic's top sprint champions in Russell Whiting, who has just had two of his outstanding track results verified by Chris Prussia, the WMAL records co-ordinator. This week, Chris confirmed: " Hi Russell.  On behalf of Welsh Masters Athletics Limited, it gives me great please to confirm that you have set two new record performances; 100m with a time of 11.93 seconds [bettering your own record] and 200m in a time of 24.58 seconds.
