NORTH WALES CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE - SHREWSBURY

This is the latest update from Bernie Jones, the secretary of the NW XC League.
The next North Wales Cross Country League will take place at a superb new course near Baschurch, Shrewsbury on Saturday 25th November 2023
*The venue and postcode is:
PGL Boreatton Park
Baschurch
Shrewsbury
SY4 2EZ
Shrewsbury AC have developed some challenging routes in the fantastic surroundings of Boreatton Park. Please access the Park via the main gates.
As usual first race, Under 15 Boys at 10-30am, followed by U15 Girls/U13 Boys; U13 Girls/U11 Boys and U11 Girls. The Women's Race (including M65+ and U17 Men will start at 1pm and the Men at 2pm.
Please follow any instructions of where to park by the marshalls.

There were some 226 newcomers to this popular fourth event, with many wearing festive attire to add to the usual warm and friendly atmosphere of this fast and furious parkrun. Report by Don Hale Photos by John Hatton. donhaleblog.blogspot.com/2025   Fifteen members from North Wales Road Running Club braved gale force winds and an extremely challenging 4.5-mile plus course to complete their festive handicap race on Sunday. The event started and finished by Llandudno Pier and travelled along the promenade before climbing up by the side of the Little Orme to the town’s ‘Welcome’ sign, then following an equally undulating route back home. This was not a first past-the-post race as such, with the handicap results based on the initial estimates from competing athletes on their predicted times for this race, against the actual finishing times. BMAF 10km championships - Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit at Chichester 1st February 2026. donhaleblog.blogspot.com/2025 In its eighth year based at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, the 2024 race attracted a huge field of athletes, including some of the best masters athletes in each age group from across the UK.   We have already 63 entries for the BMAF 10k Championships to be promoted on Sunday 1st February 2026 at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester, Sussex.  Due to parking limitations at the venue, the event does have a strict entry limit.  Those 63 entries wanted to be the very first to enter before we announced there were only 600 race bibs left.
