Hope House and Ty Gobaith - Special Fundraising campaign - double your donation appeal for £500,000 - Final Moments Matter.

Special Appeal - Report by Don Hale.

At Hope House Children’s Hospices we know that Final Moments Matter and that the last moments of a child’s life should be as precious as their first.

That is why our mission is to make sure that no one faces the death of a child alone, so that every family facing the death of a child gets the very best care and support when and where they need it.

We need your help

To give children and families Final Moments that Matter we need to raise £500,000  - the annual cost of providing the best end of life care for every child and family in this region who turns to us.

In this Moment we are asking our community to come together as one, to embrace local families whose hearts are breaking and make sure they are not isolated in their pain and grief.

We've got 36 hours

In the 36 hour period between Sunday 20th November and Monday 21st November, 2022, we need to raise £500,000 to meet the annual cost of providing the best end of life care for every child and family in this region who turns to us.

Thanks to the generosity of some key benefactors we are starting this campaign with a ‘matched giving pot’ of £250,000! This means every donation that we receive during the Final Moments Matter campaign will be doubled. So now we need to raise £250,000 to reach our £500,000 target.

How you can help

We need you to become one of our Team Leaders, to be our champions at the centre of this exciting fundraising campaign reaching out to your network of family, friends and work colleagues and spreading the word.

The Final Moments Matter campaign will be hosted on a unique crowdfunding platform. https://www.hopehouse.org.uk/fmm?locale=en

As a Team Leader you will be a bit like a table host at one of our gala balls. Your role will be to set yourself a team target and then inspire your networks to donate towards it.

You can use emails, WhatsApp, texts, social media or the telephone. Whichever you are more comfortable with.

We’ll give you everything you need, from draft wording for emails and messages, and photos and video clips to share and inspire. Your enthusiasm and the matched giving pot to double everyone’s gifts will be the incentive that drives everyone you know to give and help you reach your goal. Remember: one donation - twice the impact
