*Rowen: Josh Keogh finished 4th overall in 1 hour 17 minutes and 21 seconds but won gold in first place in the Senior Men’s age cat within the North Wales Regional Fell Running championships at the challenging Ras Tal y Fan 8-mile race at Rowen last Saturday. And Charlotte-Rose Wilton-Jones also won a gold medal following her Senior Women’s title success in the same competition, recording an excellent time of 1 hour 48 minutes and 44 seconds.

Elizabeth Driscoll 2nd in her cat at Triathlon in Chester.

*Chester: Elizabeth Driscoll competed at Chester on Sunday in a major triathlon event and celebrated another remarkable performance. After the race she confirmed: “A fantastic race at the Deva Divas Triathlon in Chester this morning and racing for my second claim club GOG Triathlon. I was 2nd in my age category and finished 30th out of 307 entrants. Very happy with that.”

*Snowdonia: Richard Eccles competed in the tough Snowdonia Trail Marathon last Sunday and run over 44k with 1,640m of elevation, and he finished in 5 hours 22 minutes.

*Barmouth: NWRRC members Iwan Evans and Gethin Wyn Jones competed well despite the heat at the Barmouth 10k on Saturday with Iwan finishing 26th in 39.44, and Gethin 54th in 43.24, with his partner Annie Ballantyne running well in her first-ever 10k race.

*Wilmslow: Will Williams ran in the Wilmslow 10k at the weekend and recorded a course PB of 37.55 despite the heat. He later admitted: “A very hot day and I blew up back at 5k, the hilly bit, it was so hot ai just couldn’t cool down, but very happy with a course PB.”

*Sedgefield: Jonathan Kettle finished 2nd overall at the Sedgefield parkrun last Saturday on his debut with a fast time of 18.05 and he was sandwiched between the local winner Lee Thompson (Crook and District AC) in 17.20, and his club colleague Wayne Pearson in 18.17, with both runners recording new PBs.

*Liverpool: Ben and Sarah Hudson enjoyed their debuts at the Princes Park parkrun in Liverpool last Saturday, where Ben finished 25th overall in 21.17, and he was 3rd in his MV40 age cat, and Sarah won her VW40 cat in 22.42.
