MESSAGE FROM ORGANISER OF PIER TO PIER 10K RACE - EVENT POSTPONED TILL NEXT JANUARY 2023.

It is with regret we will have to postpone this year’s race. We have tried numerous different weekends and simply just cannot co-ordinate First Aid and transport with so many events back in the calendar following the lifting of Covid -19 restrictions. This time of year is worsened with the promenade being so busy at Llandudno, Rhos and Colwyn Bay it has been made even more difficult as we approach the summer period.
For those that have entered we will postpone the race to January 2023 and entries will automatically be deferred. The date will either be the 14th  or 21st  January 2023 and will confirm as soon as the tide information has been revealed.
If you wish to receive a full refund please click here before April  30th 2022, after this we will transfer any entries to the 2023 event.
Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks as we endeavoured to find a suitable date and look forward to seeing you all again in 2023

Report by Don Hale. donhaleblog.blogspot.com/2025 The annual Nick Beer 10k race proved a hit once more with a massive 967 athletes completing a tough course from outside Venue Cymru and around the Great Orme before returning to Llandudno’s spectacular promenade, where spectators gave each entrant a warm welcome on a rather cool and breezy day. Visiting athlete  Hamish Morton  (Cambridge & Coleridge AC) was the first finisher overall in just 34 minutes and 55 seconds, and he was the 1st MSen, but he was one of four elite runners who ran away from the main pack and they all dipped under the magic 36-minute mark.  *Menai T&F athlete Steffan Sayer (*above) finished second in the Nick Beer 10k. Photos by Michael Finnie and Bill Scriven. donhaleblog.blogspot.com/2025   Heavy overnight frost morning forced the cancellation of five parkruns throughout North Wales last Saturday morning, but the surviving  Valentine’s Day events proved a love of running, and especially at Llandrillo yn Rhos, where yet another bumper attendance created a tremendous atmosphere. Despite a rather sandy and challenging 5k promenade course, this event is proving to be a magnet each week for visiting runners – and particularly for elite club athletes - with debutants again accounting for seven out of the first ten finishers. Report by David Gibson. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   On Thursday 22nd August saw Swansea club Tri Hard Harriers put on its second annual THH ‘5k on the Bay’ race along the Swansea Bay front between Blackpill and Oystermouth.  The course was very flat and fast, and this year produced numerous personal best times in the sell-out field of 300. Amongst many stella performances there were a few worth noting.   *Mike Roderick  of Tri Hard Harriers came in first with a time of 15:42.  *First female was  Megan Carter-Davies  of Swansea Harriers with a great time of 16:52.   *In the Veteran Female category  Stephanie Gibson  of Tri Hard Harriers was first (and second female overall) with a superb time of 18:00. North Wales Road Runners dominated the Abergele 5k and North Wales championships last weekend by recording a host of PBs, age category wins, and other podium placings, in addition to claiming both the male and female team prizes. It was soon raining gold on the windswept promenade at Pensarn on Sunday as NWRRC members smashed numerous records and collected seven age category gold medals and trophies, in addition to two runners-up awards and silver medals, plus a further two bronze medals, and two prestigious team prizes.  In a very fast and highly competitive race,  Scott Nixon  (Cardiff AC) was the first runner home in 15 minutes 47 seconds, with  Jon Bowie  (Shrewsbury AC) 2nd in 15.52, and  Steve Forsyth  (Prestatyn) in 15.57.  Martin Green  (*pictured above) from NWRRC led a strong team of twenty club members back al...

The BMAF Council is calling an EGM on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at 7pm. The meeting will be held by Zoom The motion for the meeting will be It is noted that the BMAF executive committee has a large number of vacancies and with just three members is not quorate.  In light of this, the BMAF Council will take on the responsibility of finding and appointing additional people to serve as officers on the BMAF Executive until the next AGM to ensure that the Business of the BMAF can continue. Background At the Annual General Meeting in November 2025, the meeting decided that it was not ready to endorse the winding up of the Federation and the transfer of its activities into a limited company.  Because of this too few people were willing to stand for election to the Executive Committee.  The BMAF Executive Committee currently has two elected members Walter Hill and Glen Reddington plus Jon Clarke representing England Masters.  The committee is not quorate.  The BMAF Council...
