This remarkable recording was paid for and organised by his one-time manager, and club owner Terry Thornton, in his attempt to help promote his unusual and exceptional talents. The recording of Joe Cocker's first live show includes seven great songs in a unique 27-minute show, plus a fantastic encore:

Terry created this recording as a special demo disc and it was later sent to several top London-based promoters, together with a selection of photos from the club, which at that time attracted over 27,000 members. Other star acts at Terry's two famous clubs, included Elton John, Georgie Fame, Graham Bond, the Kinks, Memphis slim, Muddy Waters, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Jimmy Crawford, Dave Berry, and Frank White amongst many others.
