I am one of a small group helping to organise a Masters T&F Open Meeting on Wednesday 4th June, which is intended to raise awareness of and raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

We are doing this because one of our Welsh Masters athletes, Jan Timberlake, is suffering with MNDThe Open Meeting will be organised along somewhat similar lines to that of a local evening league fixture.

It will take place at Worcester, starting at 7pm - please see Timetable and Promotional Leaflet attached.

We are keen to attract a large number of vet/masters athletes, supporters, officials and helpers to the event. Can you circulate this information and the two attachments to all the officials, helpers, supporters and vet/masters athletes within your club?

In fact, anyone you can think of actually who might be interested, within Welsh Masters or otherwise! It is only by spreading the word that we can make folk aware of what we are offering, the reasons behind it and the charity we are supporting.

It promises to be a really enjoyable evening of athletics and for a very good cause. Any offers to help officiate (or to help retrieve, rake, measure etc.) please let me know by phone (01905 458 533) or e-mail.  Roger@minimarcos.plus.com

Many thanks, Roger Garland, Welsh Masters Athletics.
