Set in the seaside town of Rhyl along the North Wales coast, this flat, fast course is sure to be a hit with runners chasing their Half Marathon, 10 mile or 5 mile PB, this course has been designed with one thing in mind, helping you achieve your personal best, so if you’re a club runner or a fun runner you can be sure of a good time.

This flat and fast event has hosted some of the best runners in the UK: 

In 2022 the Rhyl 10 mile hosted the North Wales 10-mile road running championship and was the venue for an Inter Counties Championship race.

In 2020 the Rhyl 10 mile hosted the North Wales 10-mile road running championship.

In 2019 the Rhyl 10 mile hosted the North Wales 10 mile road running championship.

In 2018 the Rhyl 10 mile hosted the British Masters 10 mile road running championship.

In 2016 the Rhyl 10 mile hosted the Welsh National 10 mile road running championship.


*2024 *Please note! make sure you enter 6 weeks before race day - LATE ENTRIES will not get a medal and Tech Tshirt, you can still register to run though, same price and your medal/tshirt cost will go to charity. There is far too much waste due to us having to guess merchandise quantities way before race day.


10 Miler Cost:

Race Day Information

Start Times: 10am

Race HQ / Enquiries: Opens at 8am near the start/finish.

Pick up at race hq.

Drink Stations: 

There will be a drink station at approx every 3 miles, also at the finish. If you require lots of water whilst running we would recommend you bring your own water bottle.


Toilets / Changing:
Toilets are located near the start finish in the large red brick building.
There are no changing facilities, but you could use the toilet building as it is very spacious.


Parking:
The start / finish is located at the Rhyl outdoor events arena close to the Sea Life centre,adjacent to the High Street on the promenade approx 400mtrs past the Pavilion Theatre which is on your right side when entering Rhyl from Chester direction.

There is no official parking and therefore you must use parking in and around Rhyl town centre which is pay and display.  Options for parking, is a large car park to the left and right sides of the Pavilion Theatre, underground parking by the Sea life centre, parking available along the promenade front.

First Aid:
First Aid cover will be provided by a professional medical team. First Aid station will be located at the start and finish and on course. In order to help our medical team, help you it is critical you fill out the medical history information on the back of your race number. If you are injured or unwell to carry on at any stage please notify the nearest marshal who will call for First Aid assistance. It will be the discretion of the medical team if they transport you back to the finish.


Pulling Out:
If you retire from the race please return your timing chip to race hq (PLEASE AVOID THE FINISHING LINE AREA)  If you plan not to return to the finish, it’s really important that you let the nearest Marshal to you know and give them your race number. This is so we can account for you at the end of the race. It is your responsibility to arrange transport back to the start.


T-shirts / Medals / Prizes:
There will be a Technical T-shirt and bespoke medal for all runners to collect at the finish.

Category awards will be posted out.

Awards for Male/Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall and 1st in each age category.


Baggage:
You may leave a small bag at the baggage area during the race, although every effort will be made to securely store your baggage, Please DO NOT leave any valuables, cash. Jewellery etc in your bag as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Items not in a bag maybe refused or left at your own risk.


Merchandise:
Opens at 8:00am

If you ordered a hoodie online, this can be picked up from the merchandise tent before or after the race, we will also have race day merchandise available to purchase. (Cash and card accepted)

Road Closures:
There are no road closures at this event, it is mostly run on paths and the promenade.

Results:
Will be available on runwales.com later in the day.
