Trail Race victory for Steve Forsyth at Llyn Brenig Trail Race.

Llyn Brenig Trail 10k: Steve Forsyth and Will Williams claimed the 1st and 2nd places at the Two Lakes Trail 10k at Llyn Brenig last Sunday, although the course was said to be about 7-miles. And NWRRC colleague Jamie Tharme also ran well, although admitted he was struggling following his previous week’s gruelling ultra-effort. He later claimed, it was “too much, too soon,” and said his legs weren’t ready, and that it was a struggle from 3k.

*Barcelona marathon: Mark Jessett enjoyed his own run in the sun at the weekend with a great performance in the Barcelona marathon and just dipped under the 3-hour mark in 2.53.

*Brynkinalt 20k Trail RaceKelly-Marie Alford and Cai Roberts ran together in a 20k trail race at Brynkinalt Hall, near Chirk, last Sunday, and completed the challenging course in 2 hours 12 minutes.

*Bolberry Downs: Ben Hudson finished in 5th place overall at the Bolberry Downs parkrun last Saturday but won his MV 40-44 age cat in 21.17.

*Newborough Forest: Stuart Culverhouse and his son Joe ran at the Newborough parkrun last weekend, and both won their respective age categories. Stuart was 5th overall and 1st MV50-54 cat winner in 20.42, with Joe overcoming a slight navigational problem to win his JM11-14 cat in 25.42.

*Doddington Hall: Llyr ApGeraint-Roberts (*pictured below) was 4th overall and 2nd in his MV45-49 cat in 17.41 at the Doddington Hall parkrun.
