THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY

U13 and U15 cannot do 800m and 1500m in one day of competition.

They can enter both but must chose one on or before the day of competition

Maximumn distance for TRACK age groups
U13 1500m (800m or 1500m)
U15 3000m (this can only be one distance of either 800m, 1500m or 3000m)
U17 3000m (this can include two distance races or 800 & 1500 or ust 3000m)
U20 and Senior no limit

All entrants shall be deemed to have made him/herself familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.

The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of entry, whether or not the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.

*There was a great turnout of runners, friends, and supporters of John Dalzell on the promenade at Llandudno last Saturday night for a special tribute run. Dozens of runners pay tribute to John Dalzell at a special 5k social event on Llandudno promenade. Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com   Dozens of runners and supporters from the North Wales Road Running Club, Dalzell Runners, and from numerous other local running groups, and individuals, took part in a non-competitive 5k run last Saturday night in memory of their colleague and friend John Dalzell, who tragically lost his life twelve-months ago. Records smashed at Welsh Masters Athletics Track & Field Championships at Avon/Yate.  Chris Pruski, the records coordinator from Welsh Masters Athletics has confirmed that eleven new records were set at the recent WMAL Track & Field Championships at Yate on 21st July. And it quite bizarrely, it was almost three years to the day since he  smashed the previous parkrun PB record at the same venue on 21st August 2021 of 15.16.   And Bryn, who is on a brief summer break from his studies in America, finished more than two minutes ahead of his nearest rival and clearly dominated the event with his runaway success. Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   Martin Green led home a team of fourteen North Wales Road Runners at Conwy parkrun last Saturday morning, with another bumper attendance of mixed ability club and social athletes enjoying the warm, dry conditions, along a picturesque 5k riverside route from the RSPB Nature Reserve. Martin  eventually finished in 2nd place overall, and in a very fast encounter, he was just 7-seconds behind the first placed finisher  Jack Jones  on his debut, with Martin recording an excellent time of 17 minutes and 23 seconds, to win his VM45 age cat, and Jack finishing narrowly ahead in 17.16. Sion Thomas  was only five seconds away from celebrating a new PB, but ran well in 24th place in 21.14, and he won his VM40 age cat.  Richard Scama

Report by Don Hale. https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   It was very hot and sunny for a host of Welsh Masters Athletes at the British Masters Athletics track and field championships held at the Moorways Stadium, at Derby, last weekend, with many competitors winning gold medals and recording some great new PBs. One of the top female veteran sprinters  Juliet Sidney , from WMAL, won two gold medals and set a new 200m PB beating her previous performance from several years ago. And North Wales athletes  Steve Gardner , and his master vet father  Dave Gardner  hit top form again, like many others, and just a week after their amazing exploits at Yate for the WMAL champs, with both recording some amazing new PBs. In warm but very breezy conditions,  Jonathan Kettle  led the team home in 22nd place overall but said his legs felt heavy and it just wasn’t his day.  Jonathan and Carla   Green  also had a dual role, as they were both additionally representing the  North Wales Regional  team. Jonathan Kettle  led NWRRC members home in hot conditions after finishing in 9th place overall with a chip time of 28 minutes and 58 seconds to win his MV50-59 age cat. Report by Don Hale . https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersathletics.co.uk   It proved to be another interesting and exciting annual club relay competition for members of the North Wales Road Running Club last Tuesday night on Llandudno promenade. Some thirty names were initially drawn out of the hat and placed into ten relay teams of three, which introduced male, female, and mixed ages and ability runners, who each ran varied leg distances from about 1k plus, to one mile, and two miles, with the final leg involving some of the club’s top racing athletes, who generated a very close and fast finish. *Pictured above - the start of the first relay leg - and below the second leg change-over to the final sprinters, With the ages and abilities shuffled within the teams, the races constantly attracted great compe
