NWRRC entered fifteen athletes and recorded five podium places in the main race, including one age category win, three second, and one third; and in addition they also claimed nine prestigious North Wales medals, including five gold, in the associated regional championships, which was run in conjunction with this same

All three top female finishers were debutants, including  Nancy Connolly  (University of East Anglia Triathlon Club), who was the 1st lady (40th overall) in 22.50, and she also won her SW25 cat, with  Rebecca King,  2nd, (52nd overall),   and the winner of her VW35 cat in 23.54, whilst  Ellie Robinson  (West Cheshire AC) claimed the 3rd place in 24.20 (59th overall) in 24.20 and won her VW50 age cat. Photographs by Lesley Goodson.   It was another bumper turn-out and another very hot and heavy evening for nearly 200 athletes at the Llanrug 5k race last Wednesday night. Following a fast and relatively flat course around the village, the event attracted a large contingent of top club and social runners, with many additionally recording personal best (PB) times despite the challenging conditions. The race proved to be a very fast dash to the finish with local athlete  Adam Jones  (Eryri Harriers) eventually taking the plaudits as the first man home in just 15 minute

Report by Don Hale.  https://donhaleblog.blogspot.com www.welshmastersatheletics.co.uk Conwy parkrun welcomed numerous visitors including social and club runners, from as far afield as Perth in Australia, last Saturday to enjoy the picturesque course and the bright, warm, sunshine of North Wales. And it was another first-time runner to this event who again took the plaudits with an amazing dash from start to finish along this dry and extremely dusty 5k course.  Connor Rogers  (Wrexham AC) won his SM25 age category, and he was the first runner home in a very fast time of 16 minutes and 17 seconds.  Connor  finished more than a minute and a half ahead of two other fellow debutants to Conwy, with  Aled Hughes claiming a new PB of 17.48, in 2nd place overall, and 1st place in his MV35 cat, with  David Bagot  (Clayton le Moors) finishing
